Text: John 14:12-21

The 21st century church inspite of its achievements, innovations and intellectual advancements, seems to drift further and further away from the focus of God's purpose for the church, this purpose is found in Acts 10:38, the drift is responsible for the woes, all manner of oppression and bondage of the devil being seen in our age.

Jesus came, showed us how to get things done and went back to heaven, leaving you in charge; yet things we should have mastery over and bring under control, now control and dictate for us unlike the early church.

We must understand that the book of Acts of the Apostles is not finished yet, the Apostles began it, and we are to continue the book. A new chapter of Acts begins when we take God by his word; step out in faith to do exploit for the kingdom.

In creation, God created man as a being in his class and placed him in charge and above all of his creation. However man fell from grace because of sin and lost his place and glory which the father bequeathed him and has continued to struggle with the elements of this world  being in subjection until the coming of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

The prodigal son in luke 15, typically exemplifies the state of man today as he struggles to navigate through life, having gone away from his father's covering and was reduced to ridicule and shame until he came to himself, an awakening of his spirit man to his original position when he was with his father and made a turnaround decision to return to the top. In Genesis 39, we see Joseph made the decision to rise above the mediocrity of infidelity and advances of his master's wife, and God honoured his decision and took him far beyond his wildest imagination.

The Blessings Of Faith

THE BLESSINGS OF FAITH

Heb 12:1-2, vs 6

Mark 11: 22.

        Faith is the ability/empowerment given by God to every born again ,to believe what seems "humanly unreasonable" and expect God to do the impossible.1 kings 17:10-15; Prophet Elijah in spite of the famine, despite the widow's state and her  statement regarding their last meal, gave her a test of faith which according to human reason appears beyond reach, inhumane and albeit cruel, she stepped out in faith believing, even though God's servant may have requested what seems unreasonable and humanly difficult, and God showed up and made what was humanly impossible happen for her by supernatural provision all through the famine . As we believe God and take a step of faith, may he show up and do the impossible for us in Jesus name, amen.

    

Retaking The Path

RETURNING TO THE PATH JESUS SET FOR US

TEXT: 1COR 15:22, prov 3:4-6

When Adam sinned and fell in the garden of Eden, death and defeat began to afflict mankind up until our lord and saviour Jesus came and restored man to his original position and relationship with God, leaving behind a path for us to follow while occupying till he comes again to take us to himself. In Adam, there was no hope, but through Jesus Christ, we now have hope: by him God has given us the power to victory over all life's challenge.

As we draw near to the end of the age and coming of our Lord, there is a clarion call to return to the our first love when we started our Christian race, when we leaned on and relied absolutely on God, no more halfhearted Christianity, and the time to return is now.

Abundant Life

SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: MARK 4:11, 1COR 2:9-11.

     In this endtime, God is raising a generation of people both old and young,who will leave the boat of their comfort zone and step out into the waters to manifest and walk in the power of the kingdom. People who will rise up and take charge of circumstances by reason the  new found life in christ-the abundant life, life beyond measure with the ability to impact and affect their world.

Through our lord Jesus Christ, we have access to abundant life, this life in Christ turns adversity and defeat into victory, and enjoy the limitless favour of God.

 In the spiritual realm, there are two kingdoms, the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness,

2. You must know where God wants you to do what he wants you to do prov  27:8

3. Integrity;1 ki 9:4-5.

Integrity means how God sees you, what you do when no one is around and when no one sees you .it defines  the quality of your walk with God

What Do You See?

WHAT DO YOU SEE?

 Prov 29:18,Hab 2:2-3

      Vision is a comprehensive sense of where you are now, where  you are going to, and how you are going to get there.It is a God given dream/supernatural insight into the  future with a desire to pursue and actualize it. It is a  product of revelation which has the ability to determine the scope and direction of one's life.

      What you see is worth possessing, and that which you are able to possess is what you ultimately become. gen 13:14-15, jer 1:11-12: Whenever a man's  life becomes  devoid of vision, his life begins to slide into  one of ridicule, see the story of Samson, once the enemy was able to take his sight and vision, they reduced him to an object of ridicule, grinding for women which was not God's original intention for him.

Faith Is The Key To Victory

FAITH IS THE KEY TO VICTORY

Heb 11:33-34, eph 6:16,heb10:22-23

      Every  believer will at some time face challenges and opposition. The question is; when faced with challenges, do you resign yourself to fate and give up, or do you get up in faith and step up to overcome?. A good example is seen in mark 5:25-29; the woman with the issue of blood, she could have given up on her condition, she could have gone back to her house because of the crowd around Jesus, yet pressed forward in faith and received her miracle.
